About My Clients
I help adults make sense of the ways trauma has shaped how they think, feel, cope, and relate to others. Rather than simply focusing on what is “wrong,” I help clients understand the why behind their reactions. Together, we explore how past experiences may have shaped the ways they learned to protect themselves and cope
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-based care, with training in EMDR and DBT and certification in TF-CBT. I believe that the way you have coped often served a purpose at one point in your life, even when that same coping strategy may no longer be serving you today. Therapy can be a place to understand yourself without judgment, give yourself grace, and practice creating new pathways. Your experiences are part of your story, but they do not have to define who you become. My goal is not simply for clients to understand what happened to them. I want them to leave therapy with a greater sense of self-understanding, self-compassion, and choice, knowing that they are capable of creating a life worth living.
