My Background and Approach

If you're marginalized due to body size, gender identity, sexual orientation, or health conditions, I'll help you get the clarity & skills you need to be authentic, heal & cope. I also provide letters of support for gender-affirming medical care. For therapists, I'll help you feel heard, get relief & feel re-energized at work & home. My primary modality is Person-Centered Therapy; you'll be driving your own treatment. I'm formally trained in CPT for PTSD treatment & DBT. If you need a DBT program, please seek a group clinic. Your individual & group therapy should be under the same roof. As a solo therapist, I use DBT to teach useful life skills. I use a blend of many other therapies to tailor your treatment. I take time to get to know my clients, avoid prescriptive advice & strive to create a safe space so you can process painful feelings.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I (mainly) serve therapists, large-bodied, & LGBTQIA folx with anxiety, depression, burnout, PTSD, & chronic illness. BUT I welcome ALL folx struggling with chronic illness or PTSD to reach out! I believe we all have the inherent ability to grow & solve our own problems. But we don't do it in a vacuum. I think the mixed (or downright unhelpful) messages we receive from loved ones & society can cloud our ability to cope & problem solve. This is especially true if you're marginalized by society or if you're a therapist who is expected to be self-sufficient & invincible. We need to talk to someone affirming who can help us tap into our authentic selves & internal wisdom, suggest skills & refer to resources specific to us.
