About My Clients
My background is rooted in social work, and I have experience supporting adults of all ages through the many transitions and challenges life can bring. I have a particular passion for working with young adults as they figure out who they are, and how to build a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them. I also have experience supporting women through challenges including anxiety, depression, and domestic violence.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is client-centered, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to support you as you work toward the changes you want to make. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) interventions to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while identifying practical steps toward their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space where every person feels respected, valued, and safe to be their authentic self. I am committed to supporting women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, gender equality, racial and social equity, and the dignity and rights of all individuals. As a feminist and advocate for social justice, I strive to practice with cultural humility, compassion, and an awareness of the ways social and systemic factors can impact mental health and well-being. My previous work with survivors of domestic violence has further strengthened my commitment to empowering individuals, supporting autonomy, and creating a therapeutic space grounded in safety, respect, and choice. I believe everyone deserves to live free from violence, discrimination, and oppression.
