About My Clients
My clients are professing Christians who want to integrate their Christian faith into their care. They value their Christian beliefs and want their counseling to be a blend of Christian and Biblical counseling as well as long-standing effective therapeutic approaches. They are brave as they take responsibility for their thoughts and actions and are ready to do their part to help themselves feel better and reconnect with people they love: their families, spouse and children.
My Background and Approach
My name is Hope and for 19 years I have been providing Christian counseling to individuals and couples who want to integrate their Christian faith into their care. I specialize in Christian counseling, Biblical counseling, couples therapy, counseling for anxiety, grief and bereavement, and depression. I also work with challenges unique to women such as body image problems, challenges in relationship with food, bereavement as it relates to miscarriage and stillbirth, postpartum depression and challenges associated with various phases-of-life such as but not limited to perimenopause, and additional adjustment problems.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapeutic approach is a blend of Christian Counseling, Biblical counseling, Client-Centered, Choice Theory, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I enjoy working with professing Christians who want their faith to be part of their counseling sessions (Christian counseling). I like to be respectful and not interrupt my clients when they are forming their individual thoughts (Client-Centered). I believe while we are products of our past, we are not prisoners of them and we can learn and apply new ways of thinking that can lead us to feeling and behaving differently resulting in strong relationships (Choice Theory and CBT).
