About My Clients
I work with those who have carried trauma and responsibility for a long time and are beginning to feel the cost of it. My approach is straightforward and grounded, centered on honest conversation, practical insight, and steady work toward clarity, meaning, and emotional balance.
My Background and Approach
Many of the people I work with are navigating high-stress life transitions, professional pressure, or the cumulative effects of long-term stress. Therapy with me is not about labels or quick fixes. I believe its about slowing things down enough to understand what is happening and choosing the path forward. I also support individuals who are involved in stressful legal or court-related processes, offering psychological grounding and emotional support during what can be an overwhelming time. My role is not legal or evaluative. It is to help clients stay steady, clear-headed, and intact while tense external systems unfold. I bring decades of experience from public safety work, which shapes my understanding of high-stress environments and the emotional impact of cumulative pressure. This perspective informs my work with men facing divorce, midlife transitions, and identity shifts, as well as veterans, the law enforcement community, and adults who have experienced childhood trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don’t believe people are broken. Most of us have held too much, for too long, with too little support. I’ve spent much of my life around people who carry heavy responsibility to include first responders, veterans, caregivers, parents, and many who grew up fast. I see trauma not just as single events but as the slow grind of always being “on” or being the one everyone leans on. I’m committed to a nonjudgmental, trauma-aware space that respects culture, identity, and lived experience. Therapy should be practical and accessible. We’ll slow things down, get clear on what matters to you, and work at a sustainable pace. Outside of session I’m a dad who loves time with my family, great books, and awesome movies from the ’80s and ’90s. I take the work seriously, but I’m not afraid of humor, real talk, or silence when it’s needed.
