About My Clients
My ideal clients are adults 18 and older, particularly from the Sexual and Gender Minority/2SLGBTQIA+ community, and emerging young adults (ages 18-29). I have a passion for working with those navigating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I create a safe, affirming space where individuals can explore their mental health challenges and strengths. I focus on helping clients gain clarity and make informed decisions about their well-being and future.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago, which equips me to provide expert psychiatric medication management and mental health care. In addition, I have a Doctorate in Literature, Cultural Theory, and Social Practice from Kent State University, where I focused on psychoanalytic theory. My background gives me a unique perspective on the cultural and psychological factors impacting mental health. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and 2SLGBTQIA+ mental health, offering personalized, compassionate care to all my patients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in providing kind, affirming, and personalized care, where every patient feels seen, understood, and respected. I am deeply committed to supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and emerging adults, recognizing the unique mental health challenges they face. My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding, aiming to help individuals harness their strengths while navigating life's complexities. I value creating a non-judgmental space where clients feel empowered to take control of their mental health and make meaningful changes in their lives.
