About My Clients

You may be used to pushing through, staying busy, or handling problems on your own, yet still feel anxious, depressed, disconnected, or unsure why things are not improving. I work with anyone from any background, with a particular understanding of veterans, first responders, and people who may feel hesitant about therapy. Together, we can make sense of what you are experiencing, identify patterns that keep you stuck, and build practical ways to move forward.

My Background and Approach

My approach is practical, collaborative, and tailored to the person in front of me. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts, experiences, values, and patterns. As a veteran, personal trainer, and someone with a background in exercise science, I understand discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the connection between mental and physical well-being. I also know that pushing through is not always the same as healing. In our work together, you can expect honesty, empathy, practical tools, and humor when appropriate. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, respond to stress in healthier ways, and create meaningful change in everyday life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are capable of growth, even when they feel stuck or have spent years handling everything on their own. I value honesty, personal responsibility, compassion, and treating people with dignity regardless of their background, identity, or life experience. Movement and physical activity are also important parts of my own life, and I believe mental and physical well-being are closely connected. Outside of counseling, I enjoy strength training, martial arts, sports, time outdoors, my cats, and really lame jokes. I strive to create a space where clients can be themselves, speak openly, and feel respected without judgment.
