About My Clients
I'm passionate about developing skills with individuals of varying social identities using intersectional, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, narrative, and strengths-based approaches, while harnessing the power of connection and interdependence through strong community building and resource mapping.
My Background and Approach
The theoretical frameworks that guide my practice include person-centered, strengths-focused, trauma-informed, ecological systems, transformative justice, harm reduction, narrative therapy, feminist, and queer theory, as well as the social model of disability. From there, I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parts work (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychoeducation to collaborate on a plan moving forward. I use these lenses alongside DBT, IFS, and motivational interviewing to best understand you, your history, the social environments and networks you exist within, current and needed access to resources, hopes and goals, as well as external barriers, internal stuck points, and/or areas of greater change. It’s an honor and privilege to be trusted with your confidential story and I look forward to learning more about you.
