A lot of the men I work with have spent years trying to think their way out of their problems. ACT works differently. Instead of fighting your thoughts and feelings, we work on changing your relationship with them. The goal isn't to feel better in the moment, it's to build a life that's actually aligned with what matters to you, even when things are hard. ACT gives you concrete tools for that. It's practical, it's direct, and it works particularly well for men who are skeptical of talk therapy.

MBCT combines mindfulness with cognitive therapy to help you catch negative thought patterns before they catch you. For men dealing with depression, anxiety, or chronic stress, it's especially useful because it trains you to notice what's happening in your mind and body before you're already deep in a spiral. We work on building that awareness so you can start to recognize your triggers earlier, respond more intentionally, and spend less time on autopilot.

My approach to addressing symptoms of anxiety is based in researched methods of exposure therapy and mindfulness exercises.

Anxiety in men doesn't always look like worry. It can show up as irritability, avoidance, overworking, or a constant restlessness that's hard to name. I work with men who are tired of being hijacked by their nervous system and want to understand what's actually happening underneath. Using mindfulness-based approaches and ACT, we work on building a different relationship with anxious thoughts and feelings where the goal is learning to respond rather than react.

A lot of men I work with didn't grow up with language for what they were feeling, only that they have to push through. Over time that becomes checking out or numbing out completely. I work with men who are ready to stop going through the motions and figure out what's actually driving their patterns. My approach is direct, practical, and grounded in real connection. Mens work means finding out what you want in life by exploring identity, career, relationships, fatherhood, and masculinity.

Depression for men often hides in plain sight. It looks like disconnection, anger, exhaustion, or just going through the motions without knowing why. I work with men who know something is off but can't quite get traction on changing it. We focus on understanding what's underneath and building momentum toward a life that actually feels worth showing up for. The work is collaborative, honest, and grounded in what matters to you.

The body keeps score and for a lot of men, that's where the real work is. Somatic therapy recognizes that stress, trauma, and emotional pain live in our nervous system, our posture, our breathing, and the tension we carry. In our work, we pay attention to what's happening in the body, not just what you're thinking. That might sound unusual if you're used to traditional talk therapy, but it's often where the biggest shifts happen. Retraining your nervous system can free your mind from pain.
