About My Clients
I have expertise and training in the treatment of addictions or all kinds (chemical, behavior, process) anxiety disorders, depression and other mood disorders, anger issues, traumatic stress, grief/loss, nicotine cessation, life transitions, family/marital issues. I have experience in treating adolescent/teens, adults, families and couples.
My Background and Approach
I I use a strengths based approach, coupled with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on mindfulness to build upon your inherit resiliency to affect change. I have a specific passion for helping individuals and families to realize that recovery from addiction issues is realistic and achievable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m passionate about all things recovery, mindfulness, meditation, and achieving overall peace and personal wellness. I believe and fight for social justice in all forms. I am a member in good standing of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors. I serve on local nonprofit boards concerning substance use disorders and treatment and I also teach courses in social work and addiction treatment at a local community college.
