About My Clients
I have said from the start that I specialize first and foremost in the treatment of human beings. I have a natural passion for the LGBTQIA population, and the friends and family members of these vibrant individuals, Survivors of human trafficking, childhood trauma and abuse, and individuals grappling with spiritual/existential dilemmas, Dissociative and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Gender Dysphoria, Depression/Panic/Anxiety make up most of my caseload.
My Background and Approach
My training and experience has evolved naturally in concert with my personal style as a therapist. Focusing on the Here and Now moment (Gestalt) combined with conscious breathing, and the psychodynamic Object Relations paradigm, along with the Family Systems perspective has facilitated supportive and emotionally intimate in-depth work with my clients through the years. The therapeutic relationship between myself and my clients creates a strong foundation of trust from which most any issue or topic is effectively addressed resulting in the client's sense of personal healing and empowerment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Each of us are on a journey as we travel this path of existence. Every human being can benefit from self-examining. By establishing specific goals in our work together, notable progress and success in achievement of these initial goals can be expected. As the individual, Couple, Family or Group gains confidence and an improved sense of well being from healing and growth, an affirmative sense of trust, respect and appreciation for the therapeutic process develops. The resulting inspired human spirit makes this a sacred and profound experience for both client and therapist.
