My Background and Approach
With over 25 years experience in the field of mental health/substance use treatment, I am passionate about the field and wants all involved in client care to be successful. I have a doctorate in counseling education and supervision and a masters in professional counseling. I use a combination of therapeutic orientations to help clients strive towards their goals. I see you as the expert of your own life. So, am here to help you navigate through these challenging times.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues or self medicate is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. You are the expert of yourself and I am here to walk with you as you begin the journey of improving your overall quality of life.
