My Background and Approach
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical and Forensic Psychology and have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in outpatient, community mental health, and forensic settings. I help clients facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, addiction, and other complex behavioral concerns. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each individual. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic principles, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care to meet each client's unique needs. I also have specialized experience working with impulse-control concerns, problematic sexual behaviors, and other complex behavioral issues in non-mandated treatment settings. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build effective coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when it is built on honesty, respect, curiosity, and genuine human connection. My goal isn't to tell people how they should live, but to help them better understand themselves, clarify their values, and make decisions they can feel confident about. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, beliefs, cultures, and life experiences, and I strive to create a space where people can speak openly without fear of judgment.
