About My Clients
Most likely you’re not looking for a therapist because you feel so awesome you want to pay someone to talk about it. I know that certainly wasn’t the case for me -- I first sought therapy because I was in a ton of pain (and not the physical kind). If that sounds familiar, first off, welcome. Second, although suffering is painful, sometimes it is the catalyst that can motivate us to make the positive changes necessary to move forward.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), EMDR Trained, EFT trained and trained in DeTUR (an EMDR protocol used in addiction treatment) and trained in Brainspotting. I specialize in Insecure Attachment, Addictions, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Relationships. I work with adults, young adults, college students and couples/relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are whole inside. We have an untarnished Self. And took protect that Self we have parts that show up during adversity and trauma. They have served a purpose, but at some point they may outlive their usefulness. I work with clients to move on from these parts.
