About My Clients
My clients are often looking for fresh perspective when it comes to their lives. Often, they are feeling stuck or ambivalent and want somewhere to discuss the current transitions happening in their lives. We dive deep into the root of the problems in their lives, and avoid quick fixes to provide long lasting change.
My Background and Approach
Uncertainty can be overwhelming and a source of anxiety. My goal is to help guide my clients to find their own answers by providing a safe, comfortable environment for expressing and exploring feelings. I will not rush into fixing, but rather find the right questions to ask to help you delve deeper in your exploration and see things from a new perspective. My training and emphasis on diversity allow me to take an individualized approach with each client. I have experience guiding clients through life transitions and dealing with uncertainty. I primarily take a psychodynamic approach combined with a strengths-based approach which I believe provides empowerment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Sanctuary Counseling, everyone is worthy of love, support, and acceptance. We are committed to the support of the LGBTQIA+ community in our area, and provide a safe space for our clients to explore and grow in their identity. We believe that Black Lives Matter, and continually endeavor to ensure not only a justice-informed community of healing, but also to dedicate ourselves to proactively anti-racist education and counseling interventions. We also are committed to our Manna Basket Financial Program, which takes 10% of our receipts before taxes and is used to provide assistance to those clients who may need financial support. This is our biggest effort to combat financial holdbacks for those who are seeking services.
