About My Clients

I offer compassionate therapy for individuals & families affected by personality disorders, as well as those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and more. My approach is rooted in understanding, support, and practical strategies to help you navigate life’s difficulties. Whether you're seeking to improve your mental health, build stronger relationships, or find healing from past trauma, I aim to provide a safe & nonjudgmental space for growth and transformation.

My Background and Approach

In my practice, I blend Person-Centered Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients’ growth. Person-Centered Therapy creates a nonjudgmental, empathetic environment, where clients feel heard and empowered, fostering self-awareness and authentic self-expression. This approach builds a strong therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to explore their feelings openly. Complementing this, DBT offers practical skills to manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve relationships through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Together, these approaches help clients gain insight, resilience, and tools to handle life’s challenges and improve their overall well-being.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I worked as a teacher for 2 years in the special education department, and before that I worked in various positions as a healthcare worker in the surgery department for 13 years. My experience in healthcare has given me a passion for working with that amazing community of people; and my passion for working with military individuals and families comes from growing up in Central Texas, near Fort Cavazos (previously named Fort Hood), my entire life. Sometimes our career choices come with a lot of added stress, and I combine the empathy and understanding necessary to help you navigate those stressful situations. I love to work with individuals and couples for things like anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship struggles, therapists looking for a therapist, and more.
