About My Clients
My clients are often in the early stages of emotional insight and may be new to therapy. Many were encouraged by friends or partners to seek support and feel anxiety or shame about reaching out. They may struggle with anger, people pleasing, and setting boundaries, often feeling responsible for others’ emotions. I also bring both clinical training and lived experience with neurodivergence to this work and enjoy supporting late-diagnosed adults who are now exploring this new identity.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in interpersonal neurobiology and relational therapy, with an emphasis on understanding how early experiences and relationships have shaped your nervous system and current behaviors. I believe healing happens in safe, attuned relationships and that insight and emotional growth develop over time, not through pressure or quick fixes. Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and paced to your needs. While much of our work focuses on deeper emotional understanding and relational patterns, I also incorporate CBT- and DBT-informed strategies when appropriate. These tools can help build coping skills for a strong foundation of emotional regulation while doing deeper exploration work. I bring both clinical training and lived experience with neurodivergence to my practice, which informs a flexible approach that honors individual's differences, strengths, and nervous system needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Above all, I value authenticity and respect for all individuals. I strive to create a therapy space that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in curiosity about each person's lived experience. I take a neuro-affirming, non-pathologizing approach, viewing all behaviors as meaningful responses that make sense within the broader contexts of social systems. I believe in empowering individuals while also acknowledging the impact of oppressive systems on mental health and well-being. I am committed to ongoing learning around equity, identity, and systemic influences on care, and I aim to practice in ways that are culturally responsive and trauma informed.
