About My Clients
I am passionate about working with teens & young adults as they learn how to manage anxiety, depression & life's daily struggles. My practice focuses on a variety of relationship issues including intimate partner relationships, family dynamics, & friendships. I believe in helping my clients regain control of their own lives through identifying maladaptive behaviors, exploring trauma, & reframing life's challenges all while receiving unconditional positive support.
My Background and Approach
Like many mental health professionals, my journey to becoming a therapist started as a client. I believe that it is never too late to start investing in yourself and receiving the support you deserve! I graduated from Antioch University in Santa Barbara with a Masters's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2021. As an undergraduate, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Studies from Cal State University Channel Islands. I have gained much of my therapeutic experience working in schools, residential treatment centers and LGBTQ agencies, I have learned that the best outcomes happen in a safe, nurturing environment where clients can be vulnerable and discuss the barriers that have kept them from achieving their goals. Through the various agencies and populations I have worked with, I have acquired a person centered therapeutic approach that is influenced by attachment theory.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My goal is help to guide and support my clients through life’s most complex and difficult challenges so they are able to gain control of their own lives and live a joyful and fulfilled life. I understand that each client is unique, and I show deep care and compassion for my clients through personalized treatment plans that cater to their individual needs. I believe in creating a safe, nurturing environment for clients to be vulnerable about their needs and barriers that have been standing in their way, so that they can become empowered to achieve their goals.
