About My Clients
I specialize in working with people experiencing grief and loss. I also enjoy working with folks who are navigating relationships, exploring identity, and working through life transitions . You are the expert of your own experience, and I’m a firm believer that problems are the problem, not you. Therapy is your time and I will follow whatever direction you feel is most beneficial to you.
My Background and Approach
My background in community mental health has informed my therapeutic style and allowed me to develop an approach rooted in collaboration and advocacy. My approach to therapy is collaborative, and I aim to empower clients to see new perspectives and make positive change in their lives. I strive to create judgment-free space that encourages the vulnerability necessary for effective therapeutic work. I know that making the choice to find a therapist isn’t easy, and therapists aren’t a one-size-fits-all for every client. I commend you for taking the first step in your therapeutic journey and I encourage you to reach out to see if I might be a good fit for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I think it's essential to acknowledge the many ways that systemic factors can impact one's daily life and mental health and I strive to integrate an intersectional lens with regard to race, immigration, sexuality, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and disabilities. Because these issues can greatly impact our mental health, I strive to empower my clients to envision and enact change, and to be the writers of their own stories.
