I invite folks of any background and life experience to this work who may be navigating issues like anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, relationships, and identity. I embrace an intersectional Systems approach which understands there are many factors outside us heavily impacting our overall wellness.
My Background and Approach
My aim as a therapist is to help you navigate the joy and messiness that comes with being human, to unravel the challenges encountered in everyday living and in relationships, and to empower you to grow towards deep lasting healing. I am humbled to join my clients on part of their journey towards authenticity and trusting themselves fully. You don’t need to wait to give yourself what you need.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we should not fit and be coerced into normative societal agendas or constructs. And definitely not within the therapy spaces. I am an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community and have volunteered for 10 years with the Human Rights Campaign. I understand that learning and growth is not static, so I continuously educate myself and address my internalized and generational contributions within this world. The language we use shapes our reality and can either empower us or be used to strip power from us. Because of this, I try to use language that is decolonized and inclusive.
