About My Clients
Do you feel stuck in patterns—personal, relational, or generational—that you can’t seem to break? Are you and your partner repeating the same conflicts or trying to heal after betrayal? I work with individuals, couples, teens, families, and transracial adoptee families, as well as those experiencing racial battle fatigue. Using a systems approach, we’ll explore how past experiences shape present dynamics and find ways to reduce conflict, anxiety, depression, and the impacts of oppression.
My Background and Approach
As a Black female Marriage & Family Therapist, I offer a culturally responsive, trauma-informed space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. Together, we’ll explore your story, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and support healing and growth. I work with anxiety, life transitions, and trauma through a lens of cultural humility and emotional safety. With couples, I use a structured, three-step approach to infidelity-related trauma, helping rebuild trust, reduce conflict, and restore a sense of safety. I hold Master’s degrees in Psychology and Marriage & Family Therapy, am Level 1 trained in EFT, and certified in couples infidelity repair.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the strength, resilience, and capacity for growth within people of color across the lifespan. Our experiences are shaped not only by learned patterns, but also by the cultural values, traditions, and histories that ground us, as well as by the realities of navigating relational and systemic contexts—including racism and oppression. Together, we will honor your story in its full cultural richness, exploring the ways your identities and experiences intersect. We’ll gently examine patterns that may no longer serve you, while also drawing on cultural strengths and wisdom to support unlearning and growth. Our work will focus on building ways of being that feel empowering, affirming, and deeply aligned with who you are and where you come from.
