About My Clients
I provide space where people can be human, share truths, and practice new skills. I truly enjoy getting to know clients and being a support. I specialize in Anxiety, OCD, Specific Phobias, Parenting Issues, + Trauma. In my practice, I use evidence based and expressive therapies: Art Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention, Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Compassion Focused Therapy. I love working with adolescents, adults, and parents!
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy to be a healing experience through the collaborative client-therapist relationship. I consider therapy to be both a challenging and supportive space for an individual to cultivate change, explore and heal. I aim to supportsdeep inner healing through creating a relationship of trust and care. I foster healthy relationship with the self, help folks learn to lean into fears, and live core values. This includes building insight into your own feelings and experiences, gaining knowledge about symptoms and trying on new behaviors. My clinical experience includes a variety of settings: community-based, crisis and wraparound services, outpatient, partial-hospitalization, residential, and schools working with all ages! I also believe in the power of lived experience as being important to the therapy experience. I hope to bring in my learned wisdom and great empathy to the therapy room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My therapy frameworks include: disability, feminist, humanistic, multicultural, and queer theories. I practice a relational style of counseling, prioritizing non-judgment, and mutual respect. I understands my own identities, practice self-reflexivity, and aim to live my values in/outside the therapy space.
