About My Clients
My approach to therapy is collaborative and culturally responsive. My therapeutic work has primarily focused on depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and family and relationship dynamics. I work with all ages. I'm particularly attuned to the impact of intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, and marginalization on clients’ mental health. As both the daughter of multifaith Bangladeshi immigrants and an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I bring an intersectional lens to my practice.
My Background and Approach
I graduated from UNC School of Social Work with my MSW and now hold an LCSWA. I work from a trauma informed and client centered perspective that focuses on evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
