About My Clients
We are constantly receiving messages from the world about how we are “supposed” to be. As a result, people usually come to therapy feeling like they are ‘too much’ and ‘not enough’ all at the same time. This tends to build into feelings of anxiety, depression, overwhelm, shame, and burnout. I've found that authenticity, self-understanding, and self-compassion are essential components of healing and growth in the counseling process.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Certified Child Centered Play Therapist-Supervisor. I work from a person-centered approach, meaning counseling sessions are guided by my client's unique needs. I find that counseling is most effective when it is collaborative, and I aim to empower clients in their healing process by providing education and resources to support in their wellness journey beyond the counseling room.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Simply put, there is no one right way to be a person. I am neurodiversity affirming and LGBTQ+ affirming.
