I enjoy working with those who have experienced trauma or other challenging life events and who wish to take the first step towards healing. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, are struggling to cope, self medicate, or need someone to talk to, I can help and am here to support you.
My Background and Approach
I strive to provide every person with a safe space where they can feel heard, and where we can work together towards overcoming what they are going through. I honor clients for who they are and am an ally to LBGTQ+ community. I have worked with individuals and families who have experienced complex trauma, loss, struggles with drug or alcohol dependency, attachment disruptions, adoption, and other challenges. I would describe my style as warm, supportive, and non-judgmental. I use a person-centered, strength based, trauma informed, and integrative approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, mindfulness, solution focused and motivational interviewing, as well as talk therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone deserves to feel valued and is worthy of a life that is fulfilling, healthy, and happy. Life can feel unbelievably challenging and overwhelming at times and no one has to do it alone. Trauma can impact many areas of our lives including our relationships, our ability to cope, how we function, and how we see and navigate the world. Our early life experiences can shape how we respond to stress and those around us, and can provide us with insight into how to heal from our past. I believe that no matter what you have gone through, you can find a way to heal, grow, and move closer to the person you want to be.
