About My Clients
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, caregivers under stress (healthcare/helping professionals, or those caring for a loved one), and people living with medical illnesses such as cancer and autoimmune conditions.
My Background and Approach
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as a literacy teacher and writing coach. As a psychologist, I have enjoyed practicing in various settings, including schools, hospitals, community clinics, and teaching hospitals. I bring all of these experiences to my collaborative relationship with each client, where my goal is to build trust and understanding to decrease suffering and increase the joy in your life. Therapy is a creative, collaborative process. Each therapy relationship is unique, and finding a therapist you can trust is essential. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person deserves access to good mental health care, and that every person deserves to be treated with kindness and respect. I believe that our cultures, histories, and experiences in society are an important part of who we are, rather than something we leave outside the therapy office. I use she/her pronouns and identify as a cisgender woman. My practice welcomes people of all genders, identities, and backgrounds. I sometimes have reduced fee appointments available, so if finances are a concern, please don't hesitate to reach out.
