About My Clients
Clients who see me often describe themselves as sensitive people, creatives, and deep thinkers who are committed to working on themselves and breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma. They often have histories of distressing relationships, family conflict, and complex trauma which has left them with unresolved emotions and shame-based core beliefs.
My Background and Approach
My approach is steeped in somatic, experiential, and relational models as I believe that embodied wisdom, creative expression, and meaningful relationships are essential to healing work. I am trained in IFS and I believe this model offers profound healing for people by supporting them in developing a healthier relationship to their parts, which in turn helps them to find enjoyable connection and secure boundaries in relationship with others. I believe that humility and creativity is essential to the work of being a therapist, especially one who works with trauma, and thus I am also integrative in adopting language, practices, and entry points that resonate with each unique client I work with. I am dedicated to helping my clients access their own wholeness and reclaim their own wisdom by being with their experience and trusting their story of hope and resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a writer, post-lineage yoga teacher, and person in long-term addiction and trauma recovery who believes in the vitality of therapeutic work in enriching our capacity for connection. It is my intention to approach the therapeutic relationship with great respect and curiosity for both the human experience and how my clients choose to live it. I am trained in Internal Family Systems and somatic modalities and bring this framework of holistic care into the therapeutic process. This approach is non-pathologizing by nature and rests on a therapeutic relationship that is inherently collaborative, compassionate, and horizontal. My goal is to see you through your own eyes, and together explore ways of being that foster connectedness and personal fulfillment.
