On the outside, things look mostly fine, while inside you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from years of adapting, staying strong, or taking care of others. You are navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional neglect, or the effects of narcissistic family systems, and often understand their patterns but still feel stuck.
My Background and Approach
Trauma impacts your body, mind, and nervous system, not just your thoughts. Our work takes a whole-person approach, focusing on safety, regulation, and healing at the root rather than symptom management. We use somatic therapy to help you reconnect with your body and EMDR therapy to reprocess painful experiences so they no longer control the present. The goal is greater ease, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At Embodied Wellness, we believe therapy should be grounded in consent, collaboration, and respect for lived experience. Our work is shaped by cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to anti-oppressive practice. We are affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and supportive of social justice efforts that center dignity, safety, and equity. Therapy is not about fixing people, but about supporting self-trust, agency, and reconnection.
