About My Clients
I work with individuals dealing with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, processing trauma and adverse life events, feeling stuck, stress and burnout, addiction, relational issues, identity issues and questions, etc. I also see couples for relationship therapy, collaborating on building communication skills, navigating stressors and dynamics impacting the relationship, sex/sexuality, conflict resolution strategies, and more.
My Background and Approach
I was a therapist at a residential substance abuse treatment center where I worked with clients facing challenges navigating recovery, and helped to address issues that acted as triggers for their substance abuse, like anxiety, depression, adjusting to a new stage of life, processing trauma, grief, and burnout. I specialize in processing difficult lived experiences with the client, and exploring these in a safe, and empathetic space, inviting clients to become a playful investigator of their emotional experience, tapping into their inner child, nurturing their wounded self and giving expression to those misunderstood parts that long to be seen and heard. I practice mainly from psychodynamic and IFS lenses, and EFT for relationship therapy, but cater my approach to best fit each client's unique needs. I currently am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT # 147434) in California, working under the supervision of Alicia Brandt (LMFT # 866666).
