About My Clients
My areas of expertise include assisting clients who are dealing with a difficult transition, struggling with anxiety complicated by another disorder, such as depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism spectrum disorder, addressing a specific phobia, or parenting an anxious child. I also conduct in-depth psychoeducational evaluations to help identify giftedness, learning disabilities, or ADHD. I also provide recommendations for accommodations for school or work.
My Background and Approach
I use evidence-based practices (techniques supported by research) to help manage difficulties. My main approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a way to learn how to manage your body, thoughts, and behaviors. I am flexible in my approach so that I can help you reach your goals for therapy. I have previous experience working as a school psychologist in Texas and I spent 7 years working at a private practice in Michigan prior to moving to New Jersey. I have experience helping clients develop their resilience so that they can handle whatever life throws at them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about mental health and I love this work. Finding the right therapist is key to helping you reach your goals. I would love to talk to you further and find out if I’m the right person to help you achieve decreased anxiety, stronger connections with your own values, and a greater sense of well being.
