About My Clients
I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Many of my clients are highly empathetic individuals who feel deeply, often putting others first while struggling to care for themselves. I create a supportive, affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those healing from difficult family dynamics to rediscover balance, boundaries, and self-worth through authentic connection and creativity.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), my approach blends evidence-based therapy with creativity, compassion, and authenticity. I draw from modalities such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients move through anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through both insight and experience—whether that’s processing emotions, reconnecting with values, or rediscovering joy in daily life. My background includes years of experience in both clinical and community settings, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities. I’m especially passionate about LGBTQ+ affirming care, self-esteem work, and helping clients untangle old patterns to build more peaceful, empowered lives. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen, validated, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that authentic connection is the foundation of healing. My work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s unique story. I value honesty, humor, and vulnerability, and I see therapy as a collaborative process—one where we explore your experiences, patterns, and emotions without judgment. I understand that healing isn’t linear, and I approach every session with patience and flexibility, meeting clients exactly where they are rather than where they think they “should” be. I believe that the systems around us—family, culture, and society—deeply shape how we see ourselves, and that reclaiming our voice and self-worth is a powerful act of resistance and growth. My own values of inclusivity, equity, and authenticity guide me in creating a space where clients feel safe to be their full selves, especially those who have felt unseen or misunderstood. By bringing empathy, humor, and care into the room, for connection to their own resilience and truth.
