About My Clients
You’re pregnant, or just became a new parent and are in the postpartum period. No one told you about the unexpected and unwanted thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing. The whole life transition is just not what you expected or hoped it to be like. I help my clients navigate through this life stage that can feel like a rollercoaster no one told you about. Through collaboration and authenticity, we will work together to help you get to the other side.
My Background and Approach
I believe that our childhood and parental relationships have a strong impact on how we connect to others in our lives, and how we parent. Using my training in attachment theory, I guide my clients in examining these past experiences so we can better understand the unexpected emotions that have come up during pregnancy/postpartum. In addition, I align with narrative therapy, which places a strong emphasis on externalizing our problems. The struggles we go through do not have to define us. By using this approach, I help my clients take back the power and be more in control of their mental health. Implementing these two approaches along with peppering in tips and tricks to use daily to help alleviate stress, my clients walk away with a deeper understanding of themselves and repaired the root of their concern rather than a simple bandaid fix.
