Hello! I'm a holistic psychotherapist who helps teens, adults, & couples navigate life's stressors. Accepting clients in-person & virtually.
Licensed Professional Counselor in Frisco, TX
I have a great deal of experience working with adolescent and adult survivors of abuse and sexual trauma. I am trained to provide both trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), integrative treatment of complex trauma (ITCT), and somatic experiencing interventions. I help empower my clients become self-aware of triggers, improve their self-esteem and relationships, and reframe negative thoughts related to the traumatic events they experienced.
I provide marital and pre-marital counseling for couples struggling with obstacles like infidelity, communication issues, and a lack of emotional & physical intimacy. I am trained in both Gottman Method couples therapy and Imago Relationship Therapy. In couples counseling I help my clients truly connect with each other and work towards shared goals.
I help teens who are struggling to manage their emotions and behaviors. Therapy is a great opportunity for adolescents to learn social & coping skills that will help them throughout their life. I support my teens in learning strategies to improve depressive & anxious symptoms, time management skills, relationships with peers and family, and self-esteem.
With Gottman Method I help couples understand one another's inner world, share admiration for each other, express thoughts and feelings together in a healthy way, manage conflict, and work together to achieve individual and shared dreams. I take a step by step approach helping couples learn communication skills while providing a safe space to practice the skills.
I have had extensive training in internal family systems (IFS) and find it incredibly valuable for clients who are struggling with low self-esteem, disordered eating, and trauma. I support my clients to engage in parts work to help clients identify sources of shame & pressure, and gain understanding & compassion towards themselves.
I love providing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) because it provides my clients with so many useful tools to increase mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. These skills help improve my clients' relationships, coping skills, and overall quality of life.
Anxiety can be an overwhelming and debilitating experience, affecting various aspects of life, from work and relationships to personal well-being. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based techniques. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their anxieties and develop effective coping strategies.
