Thank you for taking the time to visit my site. My name is Sarah Murphy and I am a licensed professional counselor in Rosemont, PA.

Energy psychology works with the the meridians, chakras, and biofield to create powerful change. More than 100 studies demonstrate the effectiveness of these texhniques. I have received extensive training and comprehensive energy psychology and in EFT, one of its most widely-known modalities. I love to help clients get in touch with their own energy, and learn how to manage it.
I became certified and hypnotherapy into 007 and have used this technique with many, many of my clients since then. Are usually use a light state, like a guided meditation, to help my clients get below with the hamster wheel of the mind and in touch with a deeper truth. Then we use techniques in that slightly-altered state of consciousness to create positive changes. I have found it to be exceptionally effective and it is one of my favorite therapy tools!
Cognitive behavior therapy is an evidence-based modality that I learned in graduate school and have used ever cents. It is flexible and can be adapted to almost any issue that a client faces. I bring a more spiritual orientation to my understanding of CBT. The bottom line for me is that when we change our thoughts we change our experience.
I have been blessed with the opportunity to help many of my clients through their journey with cancer diagnosis and treatment. I have worked with a variety of people with various diagnoses, and I have a relationship with a local nonprofit that provides services to women with breast and GYN cancers. I have learned so much from these clients and it is my privilege to work with them every day.
Many of my clients are dealing with chronic illnesses, including lime disease, chronic fatigue, and HPA axis dysregulation. It is important to me to support these clients on their journey of acceptance and healing. The issue of chronic illness is personal to me as well as professional. My mother has survived (and thrived), with courage and grace, a chronic illness throughout her life.
I am passionate about helping couples find effective ways to manage the conflict that exists in all of our human relationships. I received specialized graduate and postgraduate training in evidence-based couples therapies. I draw on this training as well as a growth-oriented approach to help couples find a path toward a beautiful life together. There is no “right” and “wrong”, and we can all learn better ways to engage with each other as we discover this important truth.
