About My Clients

My clients are looking for new ways to understand themselves, want to learn new skills for coping, and want to explore how to create the life they want to live. I welcome and affirm clients from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and interests!

My Background and Approach

I have three years of experience working in higher levels of care (PHP, IOP, inpatient) where I had the opportunity to meet many amazing clients on their journey. My specialties are in OCD, anxiety, and depression, but I also value working with anyone going through changes in their life whether that is in relationships, work, or identity. I use an eclectic approach to therapy- it’s not one-size-fits-all! I often draw from ACT, CBT, and DBT, self-compassion work, and recommend ERP for treatment of OCD. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience, and I enjoy learning about your values and goals. I bring humor, compassion, curiosity, and openness to sessions. I approach therapy sessions collaboratively- I want to know your vision for your life (yours! not anyone else's!). I am great at helping my clients get over the hurdle from imagined action into movement bit by bit. I am a cheerleader for you, but I'll also be the one to give you encouragement to do the hard thing!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As I was embarking on my journey to become a therapist, finding a path that fit with my values was very important to me. Social Work drew me in because of the social work values and ethical principles: Service, Social Justice, Dignity and Worth of the Person, Importance of Human Relationships. Integrity, and Competence. (NASW, 2026) I recently attended Mental Health Day at the Capitol and was energized by being among passionate therapists who also believe in the importance of justice and access to care. I grew up Unitarian Universalist, which has similar values to social work, and I do my best to bring these values into my individual work with clients and my life broadly. I believe that therapy can be transformative in our lives as we discover who we are! ***I believe in the importance of access to affordable therapy and have sliding scale spots available now. Please do ask me about this and other ways to make therapy more affordable.
