About My Clients
I work with folks exploring identity, sexuality, relationships, and embodiment alongside trauma healing, with a particular passion for supporting LGBTQ+ people navigating childhood sexual abuse and sexual trauma. As a queer, kink-involved therapist, I’m at home in the wonderfully messy world of consensual non-monogamy, polyamory, kink, and relationships beyond the traditional script. I’m here to help you untangle shame, get curious, and make room for your whole, complicated self.
My Background and Approach
My work is deeply rooted in supporting adults impacted by trauma, particularly childhood sexual abuse (CSA), as they navigate relationships, sexuality, embodiment, and reclaiming their power. I’m especially interested in the ways early experiences can shape intimacy, desire, boundaries, and our relationships with ourselves and others. As a queer, kinky human, I believe healing can include curiosity, pleasure, and rewriting the rules we’ve inherited. I honour space for exploring consensual non-monogamy, kink, sexuality, relationships beyond romance, and identities beyond binary and heteronormative expectations. My approach is integrative, somatic, and relational, drawing from empowerment-based, narrative, expressive arts, reprocessing, attachment, and Internal Family Systems approaches. Because no single framework can hold the complexity of a whole person, I weave modalities together to meet you where you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a white, culturally Eurocentric provider, I honour cultural that humility requires ongoing reflection, accountability, and a willingness to examine the biases and oppressive beliefs embedded in the systems I was raised within. I actively work to challenge my own assumptions, recognize the limits of my lived experience, and continue learning from perspectives and communities beyond my own. I identify as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and am passionate about contributing through affirming mental health care, advocacy, and community involvement. I stay engaged with local legislation and, when I can, use my voice to advocate for policies and issues affecting our communities and youth. I also love to travel and learn through the lens of cultures and belief systems different from my own. Those experiences have continually expanded how I understand myself, others, and the world, and I bring that curiosity, humility, and openness into my practice.
