I work with adolescents, individuals, couples and families who are looking to find new ways of making meaningful relationships with others and to find peace and acceptance in themselves. If you've felt unseen, judged or unvalued by others, I may be the right fit for you.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed therapist trained in gestalt and somatic therapy. Somatic therapy supports the connections between brain, body and mind. I blend traditional “talk therapy” with techniques to utilize the functions of the nervous system for an integrative approach to help you grow, heal, and become your authentic self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Over the past five years I've been especially privileged to work with the families of young people clarifying their gender identity. As a parent, I feel I'm uniquely able to address parent fears and concerns while supporting the young person's sense of urgency to understand and be understood. It is so rewarding to see young people grow into confidence with themselves as their families expand their ability to love and support their journeys. Whatever the path turns out to be for the young person, I believe they can't truly know themselves without a loving and supportive network.
