About My Clients
The difficulties of everyday life can sometimes become overwhelming. When on top of those difficulties we add the stresses of illness, anxiety, depression, our identity, our love lives and more-we can easily feel burdened to our breaking point. Sometimes these situations can linger for months or years, making it hard to meet our obligations and live our lives in the way we would like. However, those difficulties and stresses don't need to define who we are-or where we're going.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my MS in Counseling Psychology, after serving as a manager of my university's low-cost mental health clinic. I have experience with teens, adults, and older adults (55+), chronic illness, mood disorders, grief, and daily stress. I am LGBT+ affirmative, sex positive, kink positive, poly affirming, and more! I work at your pace in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist due to my own struggles with finding affordable, competent mental health care when I was in my late teens. I am a dog and cat lover, play video games, and Netflix binge with the best. I am a member of the LGBT community and love serving others in that community. I read a lot-- and not just therapy books. In undergrad, I minored in Women's and Gender studies and focused on feminist philosophy.
