About My Clients
I specialize in supporting adults navigating aging, chronic or serious illness, caregiving, grief, and major life transitions. Perhaps you're caring for an aging parent, adjusting to a difficult diagnosis, grieving someone you love, or struggling with changes in your health or independence. Many of my clients are accustomed to being the person everyone else relies on. My goal is to create a space where your own emotions, needs, and experiences can take center stage.
My Background and Approach
My background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker includes extensive experience in hospice, healthcare, and long-term care, supporting individuals and families through some of life's most difficult and uncertain moments. This work has shaped how I approach therapy, with compassion, curiosity, and an appreciation for the complexities of being human. I don't believe therapy is a one-size-fits-all. My approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing from different therapeutic techniques based on your individual needs and goals. I value meaningful conversations, practical problem-solving, and helping you better understand your emotions and experiences. I also believe there's room for humor in therapy. Sometimes laughter and difficult emotions can coexist, and that's okay.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe our identities, cultures, and lived experiences shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Having worked extensively with the Jewish community, I'm particularly passionate about the intersection of Jewish identity, culture, and grief, including navigating traditions, exploring one's relationship with Judaism, finding meaning in loss, and managing feelings of isolation or disconnection. I recognize that faith and cultural identity can be sources of comfort, complexity, and sometimes conflict, and I welcome exploration of all of it. On a more personal note, I'm a proud cat lover, appreciate a good sense of humor, and believe that laughter and difficult emotions can coexist. I value authenticity, curiosity, and genuine human connection, and I bring those qualities into my work as a therapist.
