About My Clients
Many people I work with are exploring their experiences of gender and sexuality, navigating desire discrepancies in relationships, exploring getting into contact with their feelings and needs in relationships, or figuring out how to carry heavy losses. We carry with us the experiences we have throughout the lifespan, and my wish is to support you in making meaning as you move through the world.
My Background and Approach
I received a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Middlebury College in Vermont. This academic training has prepared me as a therapist to invite curiosity about the systemic factors that influence relationships to self and others, and to advocate for a more just world. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and am also a trained Restorative Justice facilitator.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is rooted in harm reduction principles and a belief that we all deserve care. I strongly believe in making practices more inclusive of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients and creating spaces for affirming mental health care. I emphasize safety building and collaboration in therapy, and build in practices of consent throughout the work. If you are curious about working together, I encourage you to reach out.
