About My Clients
Have you spent a long time feeling unseen, misunderstood, or like you have to work twice as hard to explain yourself? Maybe you’re carrying the weight of trauma, rejection, stigma, or mistreatment due to disability, neurodivergence, or your LGBTQ+ identity. Or maybe you just know you want something in your life to feel different, even though you’re not sure where to start. I work with people who have felt different, marginalized, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.
My Background and Approach
With several years of experience in behavioral health, I provide trauma-informed, person-centered, and affirming care. I want to meet you as a person with a no-frills, straightforward approach. Just two humans working together. My approach draws from Person-Centered therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing and is tailored to fit you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel respected, included, and able to be themselves. I value LGBTQ+ affirmation, disability accessibility, neurodiversity, and fighting stigma around mental health and asking for help. My background in behavioral health and crisis and suicide prevention work has shaped my belief that people deserve compassion even (especially) during the hardest and messiest parts of life. I am especially passionate about supporting people who have felt misunderstood, marginalized, or pressured to make themselves smaller to fit in. Outside of counseling, I’m a longtime gamer and community builder. I value creativity, humor, and authentic connection, and I believe people should be treated as whole human beings rather than a collection of symptoms.
