About My Clients

I love working with folks who are struggling in relationships, feeling hurt or let down by others. Many of us have been impacted by generations of unaddressed mental health, addictions, abuse, poverty, or other struggles, it can be so helpful to explore how the past is impacting the present. The state of the world can be completely overwhelming and anxiety inducing. We can do so much to help you find relief.

My Background and Approach

When we work together, we aim for a space of exploration into the depth of your story, your psyche, and your soul, all with care and tenderness. There will be imagination, fight, humor, energy, creativity, heart, tears, laughter, joy, heartbreak, vulnerability, connection, healing, and relief. Practically, I am trained in many modalities and have my preferred approaches. I love seeing people find relief with EMDR, parts work or IFS, somatic interventions and so much more. Let's see what we can do. Relationally, I am warm and I often say, "I care bout you before I've even met you." This is the best part of my job. There are ups and downs that come with healing. We accept this together in our work. While there will be an ending in our relationship at some point, there is not an end point in your process of self discovery and growth. But, maybe I can be a part of wherever you are at right now. Let's see what we can do together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe relationships are healing. Vulnerability is scary but so important. I am honest, fairly direct, and I try to stay away from too much jargon. I am so passionate about this work. I care about my clients and their healing so deeply. In this work, the learning possibilities are endless and I am always working to improve my skills so that I can help you. I am grounded in social justice. What does this mean? I am a feminist, pro BIPOC, pro LGBTQ+, pro poor people, rural and working folks. I see the way our systems are failing most people. Before going to school to become a therapist, I worked in homelessness for 8 years. I worked at a community mental health clinic on East Lake Street in South Minneapolis for 5 years before opening my own practice. I have sat with people from all walks of life during some of their most vulnerable and difficult moments. I am a partner, parent, weaver, dancer, and active community member.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
