About My Clients
In my practice, I offer insight, tools, and a space to deeply understand present patterns that can contribute to problems in our life. I work with adults and adolescents on a range of issues including disordered eating experiences, attachment-related problems, mood disorders, trauma, and anxiety. Therapeutic approaches utilized in therapy include a body-centered, and cognitive behavioral modalities incorporating mindfulness practices, and trauma processing techniques.
My Background and Approach
My approach to healing and growth is collaborative, warm, and relational. I am experienced in working with clients who experience eating disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, and interpersonal conflict. Several therapeutic modalities that I draw from include: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which can individuals gain the skills to deal with their emotions, interpersonal conflict and problematic behaviors effectively, somatic therapy, narrative therapy, and EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My interests and educational pursuits in eating disorder recovery, social justice, mindfulness approaches and neurobiology drive my passion for this work. I am LGBTQI+ allied, Black Lives Matters allied, and take a community oriented approach to therapy. We all bring our unique identities, beliefs, experiences and backgrounds to the table. I would be honored to help you sift through it all, and create a coherent narrative out of life's complexities.
