My clients are typically marginalized in some way either in a systematic/systemic manner by an institution that seeks to minimize their importance as they identify with gender, sexuality, race and/or socio-economic status/class difference....this is "O"ppression (with a capital "O") and it causes C-PTSD which is different than PTSD since it is COMPLEX , which means that it is on-going..."racial, gendered trauma" is real and it's impacts can cause paralyzing fear/anxiety/shame. My background is grounded in psychodynamic and Short-Term/Brief Therapy using Solution- Focused methods to gain access to your deepest thoughts, fears, beliefs and goals in order to support you in achieving your best outcomes!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that CHANGE IS POSSIBLE and it inevitable...the question is "do you want to be in control of the CHANGE you make?" If so, let's work together to plot your course towards positive and informed change that will lead yo to your desired and envisioned outcomes.
