About My Clients
When I work with couples and relationships, I’m interested in helping support you in navigating tough conversations, building a solid foundation together, and getting your relational needs met. I am passionate about working with couples and relationships around: getting free from the cycle of conflict, communicating more skillfully together, mending and tending to trust issues, finding more sexual satisfaction, healing old hurts, and sinking into more relational security together.
My Background and Approach
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a research-based approach used to deepen emotional connection and foster secure, lasting relationships. Rather than focusing on surface-level disagreements, EFT guides you toward the emotional needs and attachment patterns that shape how you show up in your relationship. Most couples don’t get stuck because they don’t care — they get stuck because they’re caught in a cycle that leaves both partners feeling unheard, misunderstood, or alone. EFT helps you change that cycle.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Couples and intimate partners all have patterns in the way that they relate based on their early attachment histories. What this means is that when we get into relationship, we might find ourselves having the same argument about the dishes that doesn't actually feel like it is about the dishes. What I'm interested in helping you do is get to the heart of the matter and communicate about it together. I am Certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. In addition, I bring an anti-oppressive lens to my work with clients. I am a white, cis, able-bodied, middle-class woman living and working in Portland, Oregon (occupied land of the Clackamas and Cowlitz). I am affirming of ethical non-monogamy (ENM), polyamory and open relationships. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, actively learning anti-racist, body positive, sex positive, and kink positive.
