About My Clients

I specialize in supporting trauma survivors, including survivors of sexual violence, emotional abuse or neglect, harmful relationships, and traumatic loss. I provide affirming therapy for disabled and chronically ill folks, drawing from my passion for Disability Justice and my lived experience navigating life in ableist culture. A former professional end-of-life caregiver with special training in traumatic grief, I also provide therapy for individuals navigating profound and compicated loss.

My Background and Approach

I use self-compassion and Internal Family Systems-informed "parts work," guiding you to build a loving relationship with yourself - even (especially) the parts of yourself that might feel troublesome or unworthy. With a background as a bodyworker, I utilize mind-body approaches to help you ease chronic trauma responses in the nervous system. Attending to the body's natural responses to trauma while simultaneously fostering a stance of inner care and compassion toward yourself makes it possible to recover a felt sense of comfort and empowerment in your own skin. I draw from my clinical training at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center to provide gentle and effective trauma therapy. Once painful symptoms feel less overwhelming, I draw from existential therapy to accompany you in navigating that inner sense of freedom to make your own choices. I approach life's big questions with a spirit of humility and help you tune inward with new frameworks to unfold your own unique path forward.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe life-changing therapy isn’t just a cognitive process, but one felt in the body and heart as you soak in—at your own pace—the experience of feeling safe, understood, and cared for in a deeply connected therapeutic relationship. I am honored to be entrusted with this role by clients. I prioritize creating an empowered, welcoming space for those who experience oppression. My ASL is at an advanced proficiency level, and if you are a signer, I'm happy to consult over video to so you can determine if my language skills fit your needs. I have spent significant time in the Deaf community and welcome d/Deaf and hard of hearing clients. I value providing accessible, high-quality therapy. My standard rate is $180/session, but I do have a sliding scale with current openings. Please don't hesitate to reach out to inquire about this.
