About My Clients
Perhaps desire differences are getting in the way of your relationship with your partner. Are you a poly person seeking support in navigating relationships and sex? Does sex bring with it anxiety, shame, avoidance, and trouble even talking about it? Perhaps your body isn't responding the way it used to, and you are frustrated with arousal, erections, or inability to climax. I welcome people from all communities into the therapeutic space. LGBTQIA+ affirming, social justice allied.
My Background and Approach
For the past decade, I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds, including those with mood disorders, problematic substance use, and chronic illness. I have always had a particular interest in sexual health, and have come to appreciate how profound our relationship with sex can be. Unfortunately, sexual health is a topic that brings discomfort, and is often ignored by healthcare providers. I have therefore made it my personal and professional mission to help people more effectively navigate their sexuality. I use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and various sex therapy strategies to help people identify their goals, discover meaningful insights along the way, and ultimately achieve a more satisfying and connected relationship with sexuality. I aim to provide a therapeutic space that is compassionate, non-judgmental, focused, direct, and yes... even funny at times!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My core values primarily reflect love, compassion, and empathy for the human condition. I operate from a feminist, social justice, and sexual rights perspective, aware of the impact of privilege and marginalization on my clients as well as myself. Continuous training and supervision are crucial aspects of my practice, as unlearning societal oppression is a journey, not a destination.
