Whether you are trying to become a momma, pregnant with your baby, entering new motherhood, adjusting to becoming a mother again, or grieving an unspeakable loss I am here for you. Sometimes all you need is someone to hear you, validate you, normalize you. Give you a safe space to share your nerves, your fears, your feelings about being alone or about what makes a "good mom", or understand how your brain doesn't feel like you anymore...Let me be that place where you can feel like you again!
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters Degree from New York University, Silver School of Social Work in Social Work and have been working clinically with children and adults since graduating in 2008. I've spent most of my career servicing children, adolescents and their families in therapeutic, behavioral, academic & psychiatric capacities. I've treated youngsters with mental illness, trauma, developmental delays, learning disabilities, spectrum disorders, mood, behavioral issues and substance abuse. I use a variety of treatment methods like Play Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I've run many groups for children including social skill building, anger management, storytelling, ADHD, and teen support. I work with parents to support them and their child through the lens of their concern, challenging issues and to build and enhance their parent toolbox.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My advanced expertise is developed by certificates in Child and Family Therapy and Perinatal Mood Disorders. In practice, it is a joy for me to witness an individual’s world and address them with respect, understanding and validation. I pride myself on my office being a safe and nurturing space that clients feel comfortable and at ease, making them able to grow, learn, change, feel secure and overcome their challenges. You can see me as a patient at my office in person or by having a session online or by phone!
