About My Clients
Do you feel stuck? Are you looking for resources to help you overcome anxiety, depression, social issues, anger, trauma, grief, or loneliness? Do you feel like your emotions take over or that you struggle with self doubt or self worth. I want to help you to have a safe place to process, be equipped, identify & obtain your goals. I enjoy working with teens and adults of all ages. I am also an EMDR therapist which is helpful in addressing trauma related reactions as well as other concerns.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from USC and a Masters of Theology from Fuller. I have over 15 years of experience serving children, youth, and their families. I provide a safe space to process and a strength-based and mindful approach that examines what’s working for you and what needs adjusting. I love to equip my clients with coping skills that will help them identify and achieve their goals as well as be better prepared for future stressors and transitions. If you are feeling stuck, I want to work with you to get to a place of growth and healing so that you are moving forward in the direction that you want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that growth is always possible and that you are stronger than you think you are. Everyone goes through difficult seasons of life and in these seasons you need encouragement, direction, and safe spaces to integrate these experiences and new coping strategies. We all come from different life experiences that have shaped us. We develop coping skills based on the examples around us or through what worked in a certain situation. Something that used to be helpful or protective for us may not be working or could be impeding growth in our current context. I believe in life-long learning and that includes learning about ourselves and the world around us. I believe in love and acceptance of all people and that we have so much to gain from truly listening. I love all things Star Wars and I keep my anxiety and stress manageable through cooking, long walks, a hot bath, or playing games (board or video).
