About My Clients
I enjoy working with college age adults and working professionals. Many times, taking the first step to enter therapy can be a difficult decision. I want to support you through this transition and help you navigate career burnout, adjusting from college to a full time job, and work and family stress. My ideal client would be with individuals who struggle with career burnout, college/career transitions, anxiety, depression, life transitions, mood disorders, relationship challenges, etc.
My Background and Approach
I have been able to explore different career settings which has given me the opportunity to work with and support a variety of different people! I have worked in domestic violence, with older adults, in corrections, and most recently in a medical setting. Coming from the strengths-based perspective, I believe that everyone has the abilities and qualities to set and achieve goals to better their lives. I believe one of my strengths is being able to connect and empathize with others. I utilize Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to identify your ultimate goals and motivation for personal growth. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify unhelpful thought patterns and ways to improve upon coping skills and self care.
